Community is at the core of everything we do, and Writers Wednesday is the perfect place to strengthen that. Usually meeting the second Wednesday of every month from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, Writers Wednesday brings together writers of every experience level and genre in a casual atmosphere to connect, laugh, and revel in a well-deserved break. While hosting this program online, we create rotating, intimate groups of 3-5 people in breakout rooms, to allow attendees to have manageable conversations with others. And, JRW staff is always on hand to answer any questions you may have about James River Writers, or writing in general. This is a great entry point for those that are new to the James River Writers community. When hosted in person, we enjoy being outside in the covered gazebos on the lawn at Hardywood Park Craft Brewery in Richmond, VA. Plan to join us!
NEWCOMERS WELCOME – March and October – if you’re new to JRW, whether you’ve already joined our membership or not, this Writers Wednesday will include a “JRW 101” run down. While “veteran” attendees socialize and network in their breakout rooms, newcomers are welcome to stay with JRW Staff while we share about JRWs regular programming, membership options and benefits, and more! In addition, we will answer any questions you may have. Once you’ve finished your “JRW 101” run down, you’re welcome to join other attendees in networking and socializing.

Registration is required, and closes at midnight the day before each Writers Wednesday. Links to access each online program will be emailed to registrants the morning of each Writers Wednesday.
