The book highlights an often-overlooked period in American history, post–Civil War Reconstruction, and explores the social and economic upheaval created by the war. Reception (wine and cheese) 5:30–6:00 PM, book talk 6:00–7:00 PM, and book signing 7:00–7:30 PM. Free and open to the public. Limited free underground parking available.
