About James River Writers

Our Mission

James River Writers builds community by connecting and inspiring writers and readers in central Virginia.

History

James River Writers was established in 2002 and our first annual writers conference was held in October, 2003.

What We Do

JRW serves aspiring and professional writers and passionate readers in all genres through a variety of programs, services, and events, often presented in partnership with other area cultural organizations. We are supported through the generosity of our individual and corporate members.
